Yoga Buddy Program


If you love yoga, want to be an active participant in our community, and would like to help others have an incredible yoga experience, then becoming a yoga buddy at Third Space Wellness (TSW) is the perfect fit for you! We are currently accepting applications to become a part of our yoga buddy program.

Requirements for application:

  • The ideal yoga buddy is friendly, energetic, dependable, responsible, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Also a lover of yoga and community
  • Have a consistent practice at Third Space for at least four months prior to applying
  • Be familiar with the wide range of classes and services offered at TSW
  • If selected, a 60-minute training session will be provided
  • A minimum 3-month commitment (Must commit to the same weekly class – May commit to more than one class)
  • Referral required (either by friend, colleague, or other yoga practitioner)
  • Arrive 15 minutes before class and stay to close up with the instructor
  • You will be asked to stay at the front desk until 10 minutes after class starts to assist any latecomers. Your space in class will be guaranteed
  • Preferably reside within a 5-mile area (Silver Spring, Takoma, DC, etc.) of the studio
  • Assist the front desk in checking-in students, taking payments, having new students sign the consent to yoga services form, answering questions, answering the phone, and light cleaning/maintenance of the studio
  • If the yoga buddy is unable to attend class, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required (emergency substitution will be at the discretion of TSW)
  • Prearranged leave can be accommodated with a five-day notice but no more than 2 absences per 3-month commitment
  • A minimum of two-weeks written notice is required from the yoga buddy or TSW to discontinue the volunteer commitment
