This weather has been getting some of us down. The other day I thought to myself, I’ve always wanted to know what it was like to live in England, or Seattle – not that Silver Spring, MD is quite the same, yet this weather gives me just an idea. I think I’ll stay here then.
I’ve been pretty bummed out with so much rain, and today when I came downstairs and noted the grayish-blue skies of yet another likely rainy day, I decided on a reframe…
Rain brings life, that’s where that old cliché, April showers bring May flowers, comes from. And in the past few weeks I’ve noticed the lushness of the trees and everything super green. Despite the chilly, breezy, rainy days, things outside have spread and matured and the birds are still singing.
So, today I am reframing. I am asking myself, what is this rain helping grow in me? How is this weather supporting me so I can bloom fully?
I don’t know the answer yet, but it’s sure an interesting thing to think about and it will help me deal with the gloomy for a bit longer.
How ’bout you? Ready for a reframe?
